The following document lays out the rules and procedures that Orbaq follows in order to protect your personal data, financial data and privacy from the actions of unauthorized parties. We adhere to these policies because the protection of your sensitive data is of utmost importance to us.
Collection of Your Personal Information
When you register for an account on our platform, you are consenting to our processing of your personal data. We may collect, systematize, aggregate, store, update, change, use, block, delete and transfer that data to third parties within the terms and conditions of this agreement. You consent to these terms immediately upon registering with us, and your consent remains in effect indefinitely. You may revoke your consent by submitting to us a written notice for intent to revoke it.
The data that we request from you is necessary to register account, to provide you with the services of our company, and to assist in any legal dispute that should arise between you and the company. The data is required for both secure identification of you as a client and to successfully complete actions in your trading accounts.
We may also request data from you in communications on our platform, in surveys, or through telephone communication. We request this data to improve our service to you by allowing an improved understanding of your needs. You acknowledge that you are providing this data to us voluntarily.
We will use the data we collect from you directly when we communicate with you.
What Data Do We Collect?
In the process of providing you with the best service, as well as to remain in compliance with legal requirements, we will collect personal identifying information from you. This may include your birth date, your address, a copy of your national ID or passport, documents that provide proof of address or other identity documents. We will process and retain this data as necessary in order to comply with regulations. We will also collect, process and retain any other data necessary to adequately provide our services to you.
In addition to directly collecting data from you, we may collect personal data in the process of verifying your identity or through credit checks conducted when you open a trading account or conduct trades.
We may also collect data from you when you use our site or trading platform. This data may include your IP address, information about your hardware and software systems, the areas of the site you've visited, the pages you've viewed, the duration of your visit to the site, the transactions you've completed, documents you've downloaded, your scrolling activity, mouse clicks and movements and any text you enter on the site.
How We Use Your Personal Data
We collect and utilize your personal indentifying data to verify your contact information and your identity when we communicate with you. We use the data to open and set up your trading accounts, and we use it to verify your identity when we deliver verification codes or passwords to you. Your agreement to supply this data allows to securely and effectively offer our services to you, as well as to communicate with you effectively about our services.
Your Personal Data and Third Parties
We will not transfer your personal data to any third parties except in the circumstances outlined in this agreement.
We will provide your data to third parties where we are required to do so by law, or if we are formally and properly requested to do so by law enforcement entities or governmental agencies.
We will provide your data to tax authorities or official organizations when we are required to do so in compliance with laws designed to prevent money laundering, financing of terrorist activities or to protect our rights or property.
We will properly maintain confidentiality and data security whenever we transfer your data to a third party.
We may, at times, provide your data, limited to your account number, at the request of one of our partners. We will only do so in order to provide you with effective service, and we will provide you with information about the services provided by those partners at your request.
You may refuse to provide the personal data that we request during registration and on forms, but if you fail to provide necessary information, we may not be able to open an account for you, provide services, complete transactions or provide you with information that you request. We cannot guarantee that we will be to adequately and fully give you access to our products and services if you choose to withhold your personal data.
Orbaq takes steps to ensure the security, privacy and integrity of all the data we collect on you to prevent the unauthorized theft of misuse of personal information. We use data encryption during transmission, robust authentication protocols and physical security of systems. However, although these procedures reduce the risk of data breaches, they do not eliminate the risks entirely. We therefore cannot guarantee that your data is safe from theft, misuse or other criminal activity, and we are not liable for any loss that results from such activity.
Recommendations for Security
To keep your trading accounts safe from security breaches, we encourage you to adhere to the following recommendations.
Funds in trading accounts with Orbaq are protected with standard password-protection security methods as well as a second-level confirmation via email or SMS message.
To protect your email account from unauthorized use, take advantage of dual-layer authentication whenever possible. Don't use security questions to protect your account or provide random characters as answers to the questions; hackers often use security questions as an easy way into email accounts.
Use a strong password with no whole words. Use a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols, and make all passwords at least 10 characters in length.
Disable SMTP, POP3, and IMAP protocols in your email settings.
Do not click on links in emails from unknown sources. If you do inadvertently click on a link, do not enter password or identifying information in the page to which you are directed by the link.
You may choose either email or SMS as the secondary method of authentication for your account. If you choose email, you will receive a unique code via email whenever you perform funding operations or attempt to change account settings. The operation can only be completed after you enter the code in the appropriate field on the web site. Be aware that email authentication is a relatively weak security option, since a hack who gains access to your email account will have access to your funds in your Orbaq account.
If you choose SMS as your authentication option, a verification code will be sent to the phone number you provided during registration. Note that if you lose or change your phone's SIM card, you will lose the ability to change your security settings.
If you receive a verification code but did not perform an action to initiate the code, please notify our support staff immediately.
Security Rules and Procedures
Do not disclose your Orbaq password to anyone. Our support staff does not have direct access to your account space, and they will never ask you for your account password. Never give your password to any unknown person who claims to be a representative of Orbaq.
Never disclose or transfer an authentication code that has been transmitted to you through email or SMS. Again, our staff will never ask you to disclose these codes as part of the support process.
Do not store your account password on your computer. We encourage you to store it in an encrypted form on external media and store that media in a secure location away from your computer and mobile devices.
If you think your account has been compromised or that you are a victim of identity fraud, please contact us immediately via telephone, email or through our technical support portal.
We will communicate with you only through email originating from our own domains, MetaTrader's messaging system, our telephone number (which you can find in the Contact Us section), or online live chats. We will never contact you through a third-party messaging system such as Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, or through an email address that does not originate from our own domains. Beware of emails that contain the word "Orbaq" but which originate from another domain.
The security of your data and your funds is dependent on your agreement to follow the above security rules and procedures. We cannot guarantee the security of your funds and data, and your failure to exercise these security precautions will put your information and money at increased risk.
Limits on Our Liability
Cookies are small files that are transferred from our platform to your device. They are used to support your activity on our platform, and they do not contain any sensitive data, such as personal information, your account number, or password.
Third-party organizations that we utilize to aid in the function of our platform may install cookies on our behalf.
Privacy Agreement Commencement and Amendment
You agree to and accept all the terms and provisions of this agreement when you register for an account on our platform. Our communication with you commences as soon as we send you a confirmation email acknowledging your registration. Any information in subsequent emails between you and the us regarding changes in service, questions or suggestions is not confidential.
By accepting the terms of this agreement, you agree to allow our use of the of ideas, methods, designs or other information we receive from you via email without further obligation from us. This does not apply to any personally identifiable data.
At our discretion, we may store, review or delete communication from you.
We may also use communication from you to help us analyze the quality of our service.
